Third Party Liability Insurance

All authorized drivers of Alpha Rentals vehicles are covered by Third Party Liability Insurance, as required under Greek law.

Coverage includes liability for:

• Third-party bodily injury or death
• Third-party property damage
• Fire damage to the rented vehicle

Coverage is subject to the General Terms and Conditions of Alpha Rentals’ insurance policy.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) & Theft Protection (TP)

CDW and TP are included in all rentals at no additional cost.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) covers accidental damage to the rented vehicle, including:

• Repair or replacement costs
• Towing expenses
• Storage charges
• Administrative costs
• Loss of vehicle use

Coverage is subject to an excess amount (self-risk) payable by the renter.

Theft Protection (TP)

Theft Protection (TP) covers the renter in case of partial or total theft of the vehicle, subject to an applicable excess amount.

Theft Protection is valid for Skiathos and Skopelos areas only.

Excess Amounts – Cars

(Driver age: 25–75 years)

Excess Amounts – Scooters & ATVs

(Driver age: 25–75 years)

All above amounts are subject to VAT.

Super Cover Insurance (SCI)

(Also known as Excess Reduction / SCDW)

By selecting SCI, the renter’s financial responsibility for vehicle damage or loss is reduced to zero excess (€0 self-risk).

SCI applies only to drivers aged 25–75 years.

Ferry Boat Insurance (FBI)

Ferry Boat Insurance (FBI) extends insurance coverage for Alpha Rentals vehicles traveling between Skiathos, Skopelos & Alonissos.

By selecting this optional coverage, customers are also protected for:

• Roadside assistance
• Covered damages occurring while the vehicle is transported by ferry

The daily cost ranges depending on the vehicle type and rental duration.

Situations Not Covered by Insurance

Insurance coverage does not apply in the following cases:

• Transport of the vehicle by ferry without Ferry Boat Insurance (FBI)
• Accidents caused by alcohol or drug use
• Damage caused by off-road driving
• Theft of or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle
• Damage to the underside of the vehicle, tires, wheels, mirrors (including windshield), vehicle interior or radio antenna
• Accidents involving a driver not listed in the Rental Agreement

Accident Report & Administration Fee

According to Article K70 of Greek Law, in the event of an accident, the renter is required to complete an official accident report, regardless of liability.

An administration fee of €50 applies and is non-refundable.
