Speed limit

Speed limits in Greece are the following:

50 km/h in the city centers (& islands)
80 km/h regional roads
100-130 km/h on the highway

Best and safest places to park your vehicle on Skiathos-Skopelos are the Free Public parkings. There you will find a place to park your vehicle without risking a parking ticket. Please avoid the city center and the port, you most probably will receive a fine.

Which Driver’s license do I need do drive a scooter in Greece?

 

According to the new legislation, published on the 13 – 01- 2023 below are the categories of driver’s license required to drive a scooter in Greece.

With the European license B or AM (also Norway, Island & Lichtenstain), you can only drive the 50cc scooter.
A1 license is for scooter with engine capacity from 51cc up to 125cc
A2 license is for all categories up to 500cc.
With the license A you can drive all the displacements.

Which license do I need to drive an ATV in Greece ?

The law Δ30 / Α3 / 5599 / 09.01.2023 clearly specifies which categories of ATVs you can drive with your license B. Alpha Rentals only possesses ATVs that are within these limits.

Do I need wear a helmet while driving a scooter/ATV in Greece ?

Yes, helmets while driving are obligatory and can save your life.
